What is Elder Abuse?

Transcript

Speaker 1: Elder abuse is the intentional infliction of physical or psychological harm or injury to an older person or to a disabled person. It also includes getting another person to do such a thing to an older person or a disabled person. It also includes neglect. If you're a caregiver, whether you're a family member or someone who's being paid to provide the care, if you are intentionally abusing or neglecting that older person or disabled person, you have committed elder abuse.
