Why Should I Choose a Florida Bar Board Certified Elder Law Attorney?

Transcript

Speaker 1: Florida board certified elder law attorney has a lot of experience and training in the area of elder law, and that would include your basic estate planning documents, probate, trust administration, Medicaid planning, guardianship, veteran's benefits, resident's rights. When you're hiring an attorney, you want to make certain that that attorney is primarily dealing with those areas that you are interested in.
You are required to take an examination to be board certified, it's a very rigorous test. Presently there's only about 100 board certified elder law attorneys in the state of Florida. You're also required to have more continuing education in that area and you have to be recommended by your peers and perhaps a judge.
